Chief Executive Officer - Adelaide Office

S. Kidman & Co Ltd (Kidman) is one of Australia's largest beef producers with a herd of 171,000 cattle across 10 stations, a stud and a feedlot. The company has pastoral leases covering approximately 80,000 square kilometres in three states and the Northern Territory. Kidman cattle stations produce grass-fed beef for export to Japan, the USA and South East Asia. Australian Outback Beef (OAB) - a joint venture between Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd and Shanghai CRED - acquired Kidman in late 2016, and is rolling out an ambitious strategy of investment and growth. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven beef cattle executive to lead an Australian industry icon through an exciting period of growth and transformation.

Reporting to the Board of Australian Outback Beef you will be responsible for the future development of Kidman - initially focussing on driving an investment programme that will firmly establish Kidman properties at the forefront of beef cattle production in Australia.
The identification and successful application of new technologies, processes and business models within beef cattle production will be central to Kidman's success in the future. As CEO you will also work closely with the Board to develop innovative strategies that reach beyond pastoral operations to identify value through the distribution chain and enable Kidman to generate shareholder value in new and emerging markets.

Your success in this role is built on your track record in leadership roles within the beef cattle pastoral and production sectors. Your innate understanding and insight into best practice in pastoral operations is balanced by an appetite for innovation and business improvement. You will also bring a strong understanding of the distribution networks and market opportunities that will help shape the success of the Australian beef industry
in the years ahead.
